This is one of the most important plugins to have on your blog. Many readers don’t subscribe to your comment feed and giving them a list of the recent comments on your blog will help them participate in the discussion. Otherwise they will have to manually visit each post to check for new comments which is just a waste of time. Highly recommended.
If your blog has a lot of posts and comments then you can use the GeneralStats plugin to display the number of posts and comments on your blog. Simply put the required code or the widget in the sidebar and the details you have specified will show up. This is purely for brag value so give it a miss if you are just starting a blog.
After postponing it for a long long time I finally found the perfect WordPress theme for The Ampli5 blog.
I looked through a lot of WordPress skins searching for one that would reflect the mood and style of Ampli5 and decided upon this one for its vibrant colors and unique design elements. How do you like this theme? Suggestions are welcome in the comments.
The FeedEntryHeader plugin adds custom text and post slug based URLs and links to your blog in the RSS feed to prevent sites from scraping your feed and displaying the content on their sites. These scraper sites usually leave out the links so some users and search engines might be fooled into thinking that the content belongs to the spammy site. You don’t need this plugin until your blog becomes very popular and you keep getting trackbacks from spammy sites.
